Blas Infante, considered the Father of the Andalusian Homeland, was born in Casares, very close to Manilva, a town he frequented often. In the coastal neighborhood of Manilva, Sabinillas, his brother bought an estate for the family to gather in the summer. The house has been restored by the Town Hall and retains the name Villa Matilde. A ceramic plaque commemorates the passage of the notary from Casares through the town.
The Infante route is made up of eight Andalusian towns, including Manilva. These are Casares, or Archidona, Isla Cristina (Huelva), Castro del Río (Córdoba), Cantillana, Peñaflor, and Coria del Río (Sevilla).

Estepona Dive Center explains on its website that this diving site is located in a beautiful cove on the Malaga coast. It is a small cape. The rocky area hosts an exclusive colony of gorgonians, which are not very common on our coastline and, therefore, the underwater visit is of greater value. In the area, there are sea slugs with exuberant and welcoming colors, as well as other common species of our seabeds such as octopuses, congers, moray eels, as well as horse mackerels and mackerels. The area experiences fairly strong currents, although the diving route does not have great technical difficulty and can be reached from the adjacent beach. The waters have good visibility but reach depths greater than 40 meters, reports Manilva Buceo on its website. The company Estepona Dive Center offers the possibility of scuba diving at this beach. To finalize the details, it is necessary to contact either this company or Manilva Buceo.

Manilva-Sabinillas is a municipality with numerous vineyards and stories linked to wine, which is why this is one of the main tourist experiences offered to visitors. Thus, we offer this initiative by the company Nilva Enoturismo, which is wheelchair accessible and offers the possibility of an English-speaking guide. It lasts two hours. The visit includes a tour of the CIVIMA winery, the Nilva winery and vineyard, where a wine tasting will be offered, and the views turn the location into a true balcony overlooking the Mediterranean.
The predominant grape variety is Muscat of Alexandria. The company’s goal is to save these vineyards. The guided tours are directed to the Manilva Vineyards Interpretation Center (CIVIMA), which has three rooms to learn about the local wine culture. Likewise, Nilva has an artisanal winery to learn in detail how the wines are made. This is the second stop on the wine route. Then, together with the guide, visitors head to Viña del Peñoncillo, certified as organic farming, where wines and tapas are tasted, with the gift of watching the sunset in these surroundings. The company’s project ‘Save the Vineyards of Manilva’ has received the international Skal Award for Sustainable Tourism.
The route includes pick-up and transfer to the hotel (or coastal cruise). The meeting point is CIVIMA, located between the Fire Station and the Plaza de la Vendimia.
