Description

• The Cíes archipelago on its east side, looks at Ría de Vigo and touches the sea with the sand of its beaches. The complex formed by the barrier of Rodas Beach, chosen and classified as the best among the 10 most beautiful in the world, stands out for its geomorphological and biological importance, according to the prestigious British magazine The Guardian. This acts as a natural bridge between the Monteagudo and Faro islands, giving rise to the formation of “O Lago de Cíes”. They offer an incredible sample of cultural heritage: ruins of monasteries, "castros", salting factories and carabineiros warehouses, etc.
• Ons Island:
• The archipelago of Ons, in front of Ría de Pontevedra, has a western coast with gently falling cliffs with numerous caves or "furnas", such as the emblematic Buraco do Inferno. In contrast, there's the eastern side, with a low-lying rocky coastline dotted with sandbanks, where we can highlight the beach and dunes of Melide.
• It also stands out for its ethnographic and cultural interest, since it had an important quantity of population that had to adapt to a life in the middle of the sea.
• It has several outstanding signposted routes, which provide guidance to be able to visit all the parts of the island: beaches, lighthouse, viewpoint, etc.
