Moaña is a town located in the province of Pontevedra, which, together with Marín, Cangas and Bueu, form the Morrazo Peninsula. This region is known for its coastline and its particular natural beauty that combines the coastal landscape with the typical mountain landscape.

Mount Xaxan and its highest peak Mount Faro, has an altitude of 628 m. From its viewpoints you can enjoy impressive views of the Vigo estuary, Rande bridge, San Simón cove and the essential Cíes Islands. One more note, if the daytime views are spectacular, don't miss the night ones, especially Rande Bridge.

Domaio mountain also has space for leisure, such as the area of Chan da Arquiña where there is located a megalithic monument with the same name and a mámoa (old burial chamber) that is over 5000 years old, composed of a polygonal chamber with 11 vertical stones and a corridor of 5 stones.

On its slopes we also find the Domaio Golf Course, which occupies an area of 100 hectares. It was designed by Ramon Espinosa. Playing its 18 championship holes is a real luxury for the senses since, between holes, the impeccable design of the course allows the player to enjoy unbeatable views of the estuary.

To get there from the A-9 motorway, take exit 146 towards Moaña. The course is 10 minutes from Vigo and 15 minutes from Pontevedra.

The Domaio golf course is also known as the “Ria de Vigo Golf Club”. It is characterized by its path´s difficulty as the player will have to face its six lakes and a river. The virtue of wining over the greens lies in precision and concentration, rather than power and length.

As we have said, Domaio is part of the Moaña Town Hall, a municipality that belongs to the municipalities group that make up the Morrazo region, in harmony with Bueu, Cangas and Marín, and which offers its visitors endless opportunities to enjoy the most incredible landscapes, the most charming beaches or its gastronomy, made with fresh fish and seafood from the estuary.

But if the natural wealth of the region in terms of coastal landscapes is at the highest level, its mountains, from which you can see spectacular landscapes, are not far behind. As we have already mentioned, Xaxán mountain and the night-view of the estuary and the Rande Bridge are some examples.

Returning to Domaio and Moaña, we do not forget their important cultural heritage, such as the Carreiras museum, the Pazo do Rosal (manor house), San Martiño church or the routes to the beaches of Vedeira, Meira, Domaio, O Con or A Borna.

At the top of the village of Moaña, we find the Faro mountain of Domaio, which is the highest point of the whole Morrazo region at 622 metres. Nearby is the Xaxan mountain, where the Chan de Arquiña is located. It is a dolmen, a megalithic monument of funerary character, with more than 5,000 years old.

In Domaio, parish of Moaña, is the “Ría de Vigo Golf Club”, one of the most important courses in Galicia. It has 18 holes, was inaugurated in 1993 and designed by Ramón Espinosa. With wonderful views of the Ria, fans of this Scottish-style sport can enjoy playing outdoors alongside nature.

Located in the province of Pontevedra, Moaña is located on the Morrazo coast. The latter is made up of five town halls: Bueu, Cangas, Marín, Moaña and Vilaboa.
