Vila Praia de Áncora Beach

Seaside beach. The sandy beach of Vila Praia de Áncora stretches from the fishing port to the mouth of the Áncora River. It is bathed by strong Atlantic waves, offering good conditions for surfing and bodyboarding. The area adjacent to Avenida Marginal, where the sea has less current and access is easier. In the southern area, which is only accessible to pedestrians via a wooden walkway, almost deserted spaces can be found, surrounded by preserved dunes. Average water temperature in summer: 15-17 ºC.
