About this port

The Marina del Este Sports Port is located in La Herradura (Almuñécar), in a privileged setting between the sea and the mountains. Its construction and design are original, perfectly combining the harmony of the docks with the rocky whims of nature. La Herradura is the last town on the Granada coast before entering Málaga. It has magnificent beaches and secluded coves in the Maro-Cerro Gordo area. The quality of its waters and seabeds stands out, having turned this area into a privilege for diving and scuba diving enthusiasts, as it is immersed in the Maro-Cerro Gordo Marine Natural Area, declared by UNESCO as a Specially Protected Zone.

Environment
Almuñécar is located at the epicenter of the Costa Tropical, a privileged area dotted with very pleasant temperatures where avocado, mango, and other fruits of this nature grow on its hills. The foothills of Sierra Nevada reach this area, which also overlooks the Mediterranean and has beaches and a gastronomic offer that delights visitors. The city has Phoenician, Roman, Arab, and Christian pasts, and among its historical-artistic jewels, the aqueduct, the columbaria of Torre del Monje and La Albina, the Salting Factory, and the Cave of Seven Palaces, home to the Archaeological Museum, stand out. Also notable are the watchtowers or the Castle of San Miguel, as well as the Church of the Incarnation or the Palacete de la Najarra, along with various sculptures that line the different urban sections of Almuñécar, some of them created by outstanding artists.
