Pazo de Trasalba / Otero Pedrayo Museum

About this heritage

The Pazo de Trasalba, located in the place known as “Campanas de Abaixo” and integrated into the urban core of Trasalba, is a rectangular building. Its main facade, facing west, is almost entirely lined by a solaina (covered gallery) which at its end has been transformed into a glazed gallery. From the front courtyard, access to the solaina is via a stone staircase located on the left. The rear facade, facing east, also features a solaina, this time longer and situated on the upper floor, with a stone railing made up of pillars and a molded handrail. The pazo has been converted into the Otero Pedrayo Museum, and the various rooms can be visited, preserved just as they were when the writer lived there.
