About this heritage
We are facing the remains of the old pier of the La Armona factory, also known as París Hermanos, in the port of Camposancos.
It was built around 1880 in granite masonry with a rectangular plan by the París Morla brothers. Its dock served both to export planks and to receive products from the open sea, marking a key point in the local industry.
The factory operated as a soap factory until 1929, and although it is now in ruins, its presence speaks to us of the industrial memory of A Guarda.
Integrated into the landscape of the coastal promenade, this pier constitutes a cultural asset that recalls the importance of the sea and industrial activity in the life of the town.
