The Basilica of Son Peretó is one of the most important paleochristian archaeological sites in Mallorca, located between Manacor and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar.

The architectural structure of the Basilica shows certain influences from the Syrian-Palestinian and North African styles of the second half of the 5th century. It measures 21 x 14 and has an east-west orientation. It consisted of three naves, with the central nave separated from the lateral ones by two rows of columns, a baptistery, and a funerary area. To the east of the main nave there was a sanctuarium, where the altar was located.

In 1982, Aguiló's niece donated the land to the Manacor City Council and later excavations were carried out in the 1980s by the University of the Balearic Islands, the University of Barcelona, and the Museum of Mallorca.
