Blas Infante Route

About this heritage

Blas Infante, considered the Father of the Andalusian Homeland, was born in Casares, very close to Manilva, a town he frequented often. In the coastal neighborhood of Manilva, Sabinillas, his brother bought an estate for the family to gather in the summer. The house has been restored by the Town Hall and retains the name Villa Matilde. A ceramic plaque commemorates the passage of the notary from Casares through the town.

The Infante route is made up of eight Andalusian towns, including Manilva. These are Casares, or Archidona, Isla Cristina (Huelva), Castro del Río (Córdoba), Cantillana, Peñaflor, and Coria del Río (Sevilla).
