CHURCH OF OUR LADY OF GRACE – A PASAXE

About this heritage

At the end of the 19th century, according to an inscription on the cornice, the Chapel of Our Lady of Grace was built in A Pasaxe (Camposancos, A Guarda). It originated as a small Marian oratory of the neighborhood, located next to the Miño riverbank. It is a single-nave granite chapel, of very modest dimensions and intended for local worship. Its most characteristic element is the small bell gable placed on one side, something uncommon compared to centrally placed bell gables.
