The Church of San Pedro is a Romanesque temple built with granite ashlar, whose original structure dates back to the 10th century. It was consecrated in 1182 by Bishop Rodrigo II of Lugo, as indicated by the inscription carved on its portal.

Declared a Historical-Artistic Monument, its façade was carefully relocated stone by stone from the old Portomarín after the construction of the Belesar reservoir.

It preserves a notable Romanesque portal with semicircular arches and archivolts decorated with geometric motifs.

The tympanum, supported by corbels shaped like bovine heads, features a unique ornamentation with two starry semicircles.

Inside, it houses the stone tomb of the Marquis of Bóveda and a beautiful 16th-century altarpiece that enriches the artistic ensemble of the temple.
