The Museu de Badalona is an archaeological site where the remains of the ancient Roman city of Baetulo are preserved and exhibited. Beneath the museum, you can explore an impressive set of Roman ruins: baths, streets, shops, and houses. The permanent exhibition displays unique objects such as the Venus of Badalona and the Tabula Hospitalis. The visit combines light, sound, and reconstructions to experience what life was like in Roman times. Guided tours of the coastline are organized from the museum, and there, by the sea next to the Pont del Petroli, is the historic Anís del Mono factory, operating since 1870. The guided tour allows you to discover the old copper stills, the historical archive, and the manager's modernist office. The origin of the famous monkey on the label is also explained.

Did you know that more than 2,000 years ago the Romans lived in Badalona? At the Museu de Badalona, you can walk through very old streets, see what their houses, shops, and even public baths were like. Everything is underground, like a hidden city! Also, in the same city, there is a very special factory that is over 150 years old! It is the Anís del Mono Factory, where a very famous liquor is made. During the visit, you can see how it is made, learn about huge copper devices, and enter a beautiful office from the year 1900. You will also discover why there is a monkey on the anisette label. And when you leave, you can look for the monkey statue on the beach and take a photo with it!
