To learn more

The Interpretation Center of the Camino Primitivo is a museum space dedicated to the dissemination of the Camino Primitivo, the oldest Jacobean route, which crosses the city.

Located in the same building as the Xunta de Galicia Tourism Office, the center offers an educational and interactive experience for pilgrims and visitors interested in the history and heritage of the Camino de Santiago.

The center houses exhibitions that include historical maps, documents mentioning pilgrimages to Lugo, traditional pilgrim clothing throughout the centuries, and an audiovisual projection about the route.

Additionally, it features a courtyard where archaeological remains are displayed, such as part of a Roman house and a courtyard of a late imperial dwelling (3rd-4th centuries AD), thus integrating the Roman history of the city with the Jacobean tradition.
