The Lis Manor House (Pazo de Lis) is a baroque style building located in the municipality of Meaño. It is one of the towns that makes up the well-known Salnés Valley, along with Vilagarcía and Cambados, among others.

It is a double floor Manor House with a room designated to be a library and a newspaper archive, two exhibitions rooms, another one for conferences, toilets and an office.
With a baroque style already mentioned, has two defensive sentry boxes on both sides of the main façade. In addition to the Meaño´s tourist information point, it also has the “Muller Labrega Interpretation Centre”. A working woman and fundamental pillar in the day to day since, in addition to doing the house-work, she also used to work the field. Inside the manor house you can see a permanent exhibition with tools related to linen, bread and sewing.
It is impossible to understand Galicia and the Galician countryside without talking about the women figure. Lis Manor House itself and its interpretation centre are a tribute to so many Galician women, who made the Galicia we all know possible.
Dena is located in the Arousa and Ulla sea´s route and the Way of Saint James, which remembers the journey through the estuary of the remains of Santiago Apostle until Pontecesures and Padrón.
Meaño is located in the Salnés´ heart, a region in which we can find magnificent beaches, mountainous areas and valleys, all surrounded by the charm of the Pontevedra´s estuary to the south and Arousa estuary to the north. ¿Can you ask for anything else?
Salnés region is located in the Rías Baixas and is made up of nine town councils: Cambados, Arousa island, O Grove, Meaño, Meis, Ribadumia, Sanxenxo, Vilagarcía de Arousa and Vilanova de Arousa.
As we have already mentioned, the parish of Dena has witnessed every year since 1965, when the first lift began, the maritime-fluvial procession path to Puentecesures and Padrón, we are talking about the maritime-fluvial Arousa and Ulla river route, that commemorates annually, the arrival of Santiago Apostle to Galicia.
This fluvial route crosses 22 municipalities belonging to the provinces of Pontevedra and A Coruña that in addition are the members of the Patronage Foundation of the Jacobean Route of both Arousa and Ulla seas.
To complete the visit, Meaño has other attractions such as the Telleira de Seixinos, the mills of Lores and the mills and the viewpoint of Simes.
The Salnés is consolidated as a tourist destination to bear in mind. Its wealth of heritage resources, its gastronomy, its magnificient beaches offers the visitor an experience worth enjoying.
One of the most interesting places in the municipality of Meaño is the Lis Manor House. This baroque stately home has two defensive sentry boxes on both sides of the main façade and a small courtyard on the upper floor. The courtyard shows neoclassical lines and is crowned by a pediment with a shield, like most Galician Pazos (Manor houses).
Currently in this Manor House, you will find the tourist information point of the municipality and the “Muller Labrega Interpretation Centre”. In this last one, tribute is paid to the women who, for years ,have shown their strength by reconciling their work in the field with the one at home.
Meaño is a municipality located in the Salnés region, in Pontevedra province. It is surrounded by the municipalities of Ribadumia, Poio, Sanxenxo and Cambados. It has an area of 28 square kilometres and is made up of seven parishes: Covas, Padrenda, Xil, Meaño, Simes, Lores and Dena.
