This complex is representative of Balearic prehistory and shows various phases of human occupation, especially of the pretalaiotic and talaiotic cultures, which developed in the Balearic Islands during the Bronze Age and the Iron Age.
To know it better
The oldest remains of the site belong to the pretalaiotic period, which began around 2200 BC. During this stage, people built dwellings called navetas, with an oval shape and made with large stones placed dry, that is, without any type of cement. Later, during the talaiotic period around 900 BC, large towers called talaiots began to be erected, which served as lookout points, meeting places, or even centers of power.
