The O Diestro Thermal Baths are located next to the Miño River, in a very beautiful spot in Castrelo de Miño. There, the water comes out of the ground very hot, like a giant bathtub, and it smells a bit strange, like eggs. This smell is because it contains sulfur, a mineral that helps care for the skin and makes you feel better when something hurts. Many people go to these thermal baths to relax and enjoy the warm water in the middle of nature.

The Castrelo de Miño bridge is a very important bridge because it crosses the Miño River and connects two towns: Castrelo and Ribadavia. It is made of metal and stone, and was built more than one hundred years ago by engineers who wanted to help people cross the river easily. Besides being useful, the bridge is a place where people remember stories from the past, some happy and others sad, because important events happened there during the war.

The Castrelo de Miño bridge, located over the Miño River and connecting the municipalities of Castrelo and Ribadavia, is a civil engineering work from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The initial design was made by engineer León Domercq in 1887, later reviewed by Fernando Martínez Azúa and executed by Martín Díez de la Banda in the early decades of the 20th century. It is a metal and stone bridge that, besides its structural and functional importance for communications in the Ribeiro region, holds significant symbolic and memorial value, having been the scene of repression episodes during the Spanish Civil War, making it a “place of memory” for the recovery and tribute to the victims of Francoism in the province of Ourense.
