About this heritage

Roman baths integrated into a modern spa with mineromedicinal waters

To learn more

Thermal complex of Roman origin active since the 1st century AD as part of the city of Lucus Augusti, combining archaeological heritage and contemporary use.

They preserve architectural elements typical of Roman baths, such as the changing room (apodyterium) with special flooring and the bathing hall divided into cold, warm, and hot water zones. These baths utilized a natural thermal spring whose mineromedicinal waters, at nearly 44 °C, are still used today in the spa located above them.

Currently, the baths are part of Lugo's historical heritage and complement other nearby historical attractions, serving as an example of health tourism that links history and wellness.
