The chapel is located in San Lorenzo, a settlement near the Miño River. It is an example of the early medieval hermitages that once populated the entire riverbank. Notable pre-Romanesque elements include a window made from a single piece of stone, featuring circular openings at the top and symmetrical rectangular ones at the bottom. It has a rectangular floor plan and a main façade with a lintelled entrance, above which sits a large rectangular pediment. Above that, there is a bell gable with two openings and respective bells, topped by a stone cross and pinnacles on the sides. The side walls are made of well-worked ashlar, and the main façade is of higher quality.

It has a rectangular shape and on its main wall there is a large door and a very special window, made from a single stone, with round and square holes. Above the door, there is a part that looks like a large triangle and, higher up, a small tower with two bells and a stone cross. The walls are made of stone blocks and the entrance is the most beautiful part. It is a perfect place to imagine what churches were like many centuries ago.
