The Ebro Battle Museum, located in the town of Fayón, in the province of Zaragoza, Aragón, is a center dedicated to the memory and study of one of the most significant battles of the Spanish Civil War. This battle, which took place between July and November 1938, was a crucial confrontation that marked the beginning of the end of the conflict.

The Fayón Ebro 1938 Museum. The Battle is the result of the concerns of two local residents regarding the battle that took place in Fayón in 1938 during the Civil War. In the summer of 2007, with the material collected by José Payas and Miguel Ferragut and with the collaboration of the town council, a temporary exhibition was organized that became the origin of the current museum inaugurated in July 2012.

Among the activities related to the museum, the historical reenactment of the battle stands out, which takes place every year and involves about 300 reenactors, boats, planes, cavalry, and period vehicles.

The museum is located in a building that years ago housed a textile factory. The hall, over 1,000 m2, is divided into three areas: documentation and archive center, interpretation center, and permanent exhibition.

Among the exhibited objects are models, documentation, and posters from the era, as well as rifles, cartridges, bayonets, uniforms, and material dropped by aviation. In the permanent exhibition area, visitors can enter a typical camp with a hut equipped with transmission equipment, a canteen, a command post, an escort post, a bunker, and a field hospital. Additionally, cannons and mannequins with soldiers from both sides are displayed in a trench recreation.

The Ebro Battle Museum in Fayón is one of the largest and with the most war material in the area. It is located in a hall in the Vintem industrial park, a 4-minute walk from the town's Main Square.

If you wish, on the first and third weekend of each month, you can combine the visit to the Ebro Battle Museum with a guided tour of the trenches of position 36 in Fayón, which will allow you to understand on-site what the soldiers at the front felt and experienced.

The last weekend of July, Fayón hosts the Historical Reenactment of the Ebro Battle, which represents the events as faithfully as possible.

The museum also serves as a space for memory and reflection, honoring all those who participated and lost their lives in the battle. Monuments and commemorative plaques within the museum grounds remember the sacrifices made and promote the importance of peace and reconciliation.
