THE VIGO ESTUARY FROM COAST TO COAST

Description

  • In 1493, Baiona was the first village in the old continent to know about the discovery of the new world, after the arrival of the "Pinta" caravel, commanded by Pinzón. Therefore, a magnificent circular journey through the mouth of the Vigo estuary, following the south coast to the Baiona cove. We will visit this seafaring village with an onboard guided route and with optional information on Baiona's must-visit places, such as the Navigation Museum, the Pinta Caravel, the Virgin of the Rock, the old town, and the Parador Monterreal, among others.
  • Next, we will set sail to Cíes Islands, known by the Romans as the islands of the gods, where we can find the most desirable beach in the world, Rodas. From the sea, we will enjoy a spectacular view of the entire archipelago and get to know every corner, piece of history, and the natural value of this paradisiacal enclave, located at the estuary mouth within the National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia
  • The journey will end with a walk along the north coast of the estuary, from Cabo Home to Punta Borneira, passing through some of the most beautiful beaches in Galicia.
