The pier is located right next to the Puerta Nueva in Plaza Don Carlos Mendoza, where there is a multipurpose building next to some stairs that allow direct access to the river and the dock. It is a small dock ideal for practicing sports such as Kayaking or Canoeing.

- The small town of Vadocondes, situated next to a meander of the Duero River, is just a few kilometers from Aranda de Duero, south of the Ribera del Duero. Its history is linked to the Duero since the early Middle Ages. However, as in other towns in the region, there are traces of Roman-era settlements. In 2008, the town of Vadocondes was declared a Historic-Artistic Ensemble. Notable in its Historic Ensemble is the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, an old temple dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, one of the most important heritage elements of the area; the Rollo in Plaza Don Manuel Mendoza, the Hermitages of San Cosme, San Damián, and the Humilladero, the Arco de la Puerta de Burgos, and the Arco de la Puerta Mayor. Additionally, located within the Ribera del Duero Wine Route, nearby you can visit important vineyards that can introduce tourists to the world of wine tourism, which is a fundamental part of the region's identity. Likewise, the renowned underground wineries of Vadocondes can be visited. These are two neighborhoods notable for their traditional wine presses, a major regional reference. The zarceras that appear on the hillside testify to the underground reality, where brick arches predominate in the cellars. The great Duero Route passes through the town, a walk that anyone who enjoys nature should not miss; the walker can, from its zigzagging path along the riverbank, observe and listen to the different animals that make up the native fauna of the middle course of the river.
