About this port

Cabodeiro Port is in the northwest of the Arousa Island, a privileged natural area in the heart of the estuary, in the Pontevedra province. Currently, it is connected to the mainland by a 2-kilometer bridge. The Arousa Island offers visitors the chance to enjoy its stunning beaches, outings to the Carreiron Natural Park (declared “Wetland of International Importance” in 1989), the practice of water activities, or tasting its delicious gastronomy. Its inhabitant’s livelihood is fishing, shellfishing, and the culture of mussels in the characteristic rafts.

Port entrance

Route and approach instructions

To enter Cabodeiro, we have to leave the main channel of the Arousa Estuary and take the course after passing the entrance buoy through the access channel between the west and east set of mussel rafts. We need to cross the specific Vilanova's entrance channel until reaching the end of the west set of mussel rafts.

Bordering the set with course 270, and after, we take the way of 340 to Cabodeiro's pier. Near the dock on starboard, there are some signposted shallows. We have to consider the tides, for draught reasons, to access this dock.
