Cabodeiro Port is in the northwest of the Arousa Island, a privileged natural area in the heart of the estuary, in the Pontevedra province. Currently, it is connected to the mainland by a 2-kilometer bridge.
The Arousa Island offers visitors the chance to enjoy its stunning beaches, outings to the Carreiron Natural Park (declared “Wetland of International Importance” in 1989), the practice of water activities, or tasting its delicious gastronomy. Its inhabitant’s livelihood is fishing, shellfishing, and the culture of mussels in the characteristic rafts.
