About this port

The Camporramiro pier is located in a privileged natural setting, surrounded by the vineyards that characterize the Ribeira Sacra. The valley slopes, covered with traditional terraces, show the effort and dedication of generations in vine cultivation. This stepped landscape not only adds beauty to the surroundings but also reveals the complexity of the work during the grape harvest, especially due to the difficulty of access and grape transportation. A bridge connects the two neighboring municipalities, offering natural viewpoints and heritage elements of interest.

Environment
From the Camporramiro pier, it is possible to immerse yourself in the essence of the Ribeira Sacra by navigating the Miño River. The river routes allow you to enjoy a natural environment of great scenic value, with terraced vineyards, spectacular viewpoints, and absolute tranquility. The journey can take visitors to the Belesar reservoir or continue upstream to the Os Peares reservoir, at the confluence of the Miño and Sil rivers. The area is also linked to the Winter Way of St. James, adding a spiritual and cultural dimension to the visit. Along the riverbank, there are churches, hermitages, and other remnants of Galician Romanesque architecture that enrich the visitor's experience. The town of Chantada, near the pier, offers all necessary services, as well as an excellent representation of traditional Galician architecture. Its strategic location allows connection with other points of interest such as Portomarín or Os Peares, emblematic destinations where nature, history, and culture intertwine.
