About this port

The vineyards surround the entire environment of the Miño River. The mountain slopes, covered with terraced vines, form a unique natural landscape, reflecting the effort required for the care and harvest in this steep area. This traditional cultivation system, characteristic of the Ribeira Sacra, defines the identity of the territory. A bridge connects the two neighboring municipalities, each with its own viewpoints and elements of cultural heritage.

Environment
From the Finca Pacio pier, it is possible to explore part of the Ribeira Sacra by navigating the Miño River, an experience that allows you to discover unique landscapes, with terraced vineyards and spectacular viewpoints. The river routes can head towards the Belesar reservoir or extend to the Os Peares reservoir, where the Miño and Sil rivers converge. The area is linked to the Winter Camino de Santiago, which adds cultural and spiritual value to the visit. Numerous Romanesque churches, hermitages, and monasteries are integrated into this natural environment, forming a cultural landscape of great interest. The town of Chantada, near the pier, offers all necessary services and constitutes an ideal starting point to explore the gastronomy and heritage of the Ribeira Sacra. From there, it is also easy to access other destinations such as Portomarín and Os Peares, known for their natural, historical, and riverine richness.
