Frades Fishing Zone, Valença

About this port

The Ganfei/Frades Fishing Zone is located on the Minho riverbank and it is equipped with floating pontoons for recreational boats and for sportfishing. This structure was built on the location where another fishing zone may have been explored by the Benedictine Monastery of Ganfei, founded in the 12th century. The recovery works included the old fishing area and the boat access ramp.
