Panxón is a small port located at the beginning of the Monteferro peninsula isthmus. Protected from the North by a breakwater, it can be an alternative anchorage but conditioned by its shallow draught, several buoys, and lines full with anchored boats in summer, and limited protection from wind and sea from South to West.
While in spring and summer, recreational boats crowed the dock, during the other months, fishing is the significant activity. The Panxón Yacht Club uses clump weight anchors or sinkers with beacons as an offshore mooring system for its members and offers an inflatable boat to access the boats.
