This Marina is in the town of Tui on the Miño Riverbank. Tui has a legendary origin because of its privileged location, on a hill on the Miño Riverbank on the border with Portugal. These circumstances have conditioned the layout of its ancient streets that descend from the cathedral towards the river. As occurs with all the ports with fluvial courses, sailors have to be careful with the waves throughout the Miño River. It is navigable up to its mouth in A Guarda for vessels with limited draughts. The work consisted of the placement, parallel to the shore, of two 103-meter long docks joined by a 43-meter long sharing dock. The access is through a gangway and consists of a fixed 12-meter section and a movable section of the same length, resting on one side on the fixed part of the pier and the other side on the floating docks themselves. The docks are 2.50 meters wide with an aluminum structure and wooden floor. The projected capacity is 100 moorings with water and electricity connections. All mooring points have fingers to avoid placing anchoring trains and improve the users’ comfort. The application for berth booking at the Tui Marina can be long-term, for the whole year or the high season, the latter from May 1 to October 31. The port also reserves a berth for short-term visitors to the city, usually a couple of days; however, they also have to apply for it in advance. All berths are for boats up to 8 meters in length.

The Miño River is navigable up to Tui, located about 30 kilometers from the river's mouth. It is difficult navigation, as are all the fluvial ones, because of the changeable bottoms and currents. The tides are noticeable about 40 kilometers upstream. The maximum intensity of the tidal current is 4 knots. Moreover, the difference between high and low tide can be longer than an hour between the mouth and Tui. The keys to successfully access the Miño River and navigate through its international stretch depend on a series of conditions to ensure the crew and boat safety:

1. Its flow variations are approximately 2 meters between high and low tide.

2. Always navigate in mid to high tide conditions to avoid stranding.

3. When the tide is ebbing, its speed is about 4 knots on average. However, it can double during spring tides and at some locations. The incoming current has an average of 3 knots, and it can double at some point, as occurs during ebbtide.

4. Maximum draught should not exceed 2 meters.

5. It is not convenient to trust the color of the river's waters since it is difficult to differentiate between deep-waters and, on the contrary, if there is a sandbank by our bow. In case of doubt, moderate the speed to the maximum, and in the case of having a mud motor (long-tail water shallow boat), raise it to avoid sucking sand.
