The Basilica of Son Peretó is one of the most important early Christian archaeological sites in Mallorca, located between Manacor and Sant Llorenç des Cardassar.
In 1982, Aguiló’s niece donated the land to the Manacor City Council, and excavations were subsequently carried out in the 1980s by the University of the Balearic Islands, the University of Barcelona,
The architectural structure of the Basilica bears certain influences from the Syrian-Palestinian and North African styles of the second half of the 5th century. It measures 21 x 14 m and is oriented east-west. It consisted of three naves, the central one separated from the side ones by two rows of columns, a baptistery, and a funerary area. To the east of the main nave was a sanctuarium, which housed the altar.
