Description
- With this itinerary you will get to know and enjoy a navigation through the Galician maritime culture. Through its fishing villages, its farming parks in rafts and the heritage you will learn about about the fishing tradition linked to salting and preserving. All this in the framework of Ría de Arousa which, thanks to its special geographical characteristics, is rich in fishing and especially in shellfish.
- For this we will have the help of augmented reality and audio to discover the islands of Sálvora and Cortegada, belonging to the Atlantic Islands of Galicia Natural Park and the Arousa Island, in the estuary that bears their name.
- Our trip will take us to visit the fishing villages and neighborhoods with their fishing ports and the different types of boats currently used for inshore and deep sea fishing. For example, the dornas (shellfish and inshore fishing boats) tell us about the intense marine life in the area.
- The fishing villages that we will discover will be Vilagarcía de Arousa, Boiro, Rianxo, A Pobra do Caramiñal, Santa Uxía de Ribeira and Vilanova de Arousa.
- In addition, we will discover its salted fish, what will guide us in its evolution to the current canneries, its wonderful sandy areas, the cockles, in Carril the clam bearing its name, the museums and the well-known sardines of the estuary (the one of Rianxo).
- This route includes during the itinerary small stopovers at sea, to discover in panoramic views the heritage of interest, through the use of the augmented reality application NAR.

Recommendations
We recommend warm clothing, a raincoat, comfortable shoes (nautical type with a non-black sole), sunscreen and sunglasses. Soft-type travel suitcase to be able to stow on the boat.
