La Capela das Neves located in the town of Portomarín, is an 18th-century Baroque chapel with a single nave, bell gable, and main altar, which originally belonged to the hospital of the Order of Saint John.
The stone staircase that precedes it before crossing the bridge over the Miño river was built using an arch from the old medieval bridge and consists of 82 steps and 17 meters in height, constructed with an arch from the old medieval bridge.
The entire complex was relocated after the construction of the Belesar reservoir, maintaining its value as a symbol of entry to the Camino Francés in Portomarín.
It is listed as a protected asset under Law 16/1985, of June 25, on Spanish Historical Heritage (BOE no. 155, June 29, 1985).
