Description
- This nautical cultural itinerary is linked to enogastronomy, the culture of the Galician country houses and its splendid gardens. Taking this tour we will be able to get to know the maritime landscape wonders in Ría de Arousa, the beauty of the camellia gardens in the Albariño wine valley of O Salnés.
- If there is a town in the Rías Baixas territory where Albariño wine is part of its idiosyncrasy, it is Cambados, in the O Salnés region. It treasures one of the best preserved historical sites in Galicia due to the large number of pazos, monuments and noble streets through where you can take a pleasant walk. In this town in the province of Pontevedra, there's a white wine with a outstanding acidic point so Galician, that it feels present throught all its corners (which has its main reference in the D.O. Rías Baixas). Its prominence peaks at the beginning of August on the occasion of the Albariño D.O. Rías Baixas wine festival, the most important wine festival in Galicia.
- In this valley of O Salnés we will find several Pazos that house some of the best unique gardens in Galicia and that are within the framework of the Camellia route. We will visit one of them in an exclusive environment.
- In addition, during our trip we will visit several of the fishing villages on the north bank of Ría de Arousa, such as Boiro and A Pobra do Caramiñal.
- This route includes during the itinerary small stopovers at sea, to discover in panoramic views the heritage of interest, through the use of the augmented reality application NAR.
