To get there, we will have to walk a distance of 2800/3000 m from the Os Peares train station, or walk 1500 m down from where the paved road of Sandamiro ends. The latter leads us to what is a cart path. There is vegetation with large oak groves and nearby terraced vineyards. In this area of the river, we see how the water carves the stones at the bottom and we can clearly appreciate the characteristics of the environment with the panoramic view we have of the opposite shore.

- The area is very good for enjoying: the Romanesque of its churches Santiago de Carracedo, San Xes da Peroxa, etc.; the Pazos; the Castelo de A Peroxa; the hiking routes that lead us to this castle; the Amparo field route with its Hermitage and the A Peroxa Viewpoints, etc. All this allows us to enjoy the terraces (bancales) over the Miño river with their peculiarities and grape varieties along with the wineries and thus learn how the vineyards are cared for and the wines are made. We can travel to see the confluence of the Miño and Sil rivers and see the docks of Peares and San Estevo for navigation. Ourense capital with its heritage is visitable due to its proximity.
