The port of Pontecesures is located in the north of the province of Pontevedra, on the left bank of the Ulla river, near its mouth in the Ría de Arousa. It is worth highlighting the numerous cruceiros in the area, such as the Obra Pía de S. Lázaro built in the 14th century, the one in Carreiras, and the Alfoli da Cova. Additionally, in civil architecture, the Pazo da Cova from the 18th century and the typical Caldeirón complex, located in the Porto neighborhood, stand out. The parish church, with a single nave, preserves Romanesque remains. The town’s old artisanal tradition is present in the Sail Workshop, the Ceramics School, and the Celtic ceramic figures.
