It is a natural fluvial beach with an extension of 700 meters, white sand of fine grain, with salt and fresh waters exchange according to the tidal oscillation. In general, it has calm waters. It belongs to the Natural Area Natura 2000 Network.

The pier is located right next to the Puerta Nueva in Plaza Don Carlos Mendoza, where there is a multipurpose building next to some stairs that allow direct access to the river and the dock. It is a small dock ideal for practicing sports such as Kayaking or Canoeing.
